Экипаж российской женской двойки распашной вышел в финал олимпийских соревнований по академической гребле.
28 июля на стадионе «Си Форест Вотервей» в Токио состоялись полуфинальные гонки Олимпийских игр-2020 по академической гребле у женщин среди двоек распашных без рулевого.
Василиса Степанова, представляющая Тверскую область, и Елена Орябинская из Краснодарского края в своем заезде финишировали на втором месте, уступив соперницам из Новой Зеландии 2,83 секунды. Таким образом Василиса и Елена стали пока первыми из представителей российской академической гребли пробились в финал Олимпиады и получили шанс побороться за медали.
По результатам двух полуфинальных гонок время Василисы Степановой и Елены Орябинской оказалось пятым среди шести экипажей-участников финала. Лучшее время показали как раз соперницы россиянок по заезду 28 июля из Новой Зеландии (6:47,41). Второе время у спортсменок из Греции (6:48,70), третье – Великобритании (6:49,39). Конкуренцию Василисе и Елене в финале, который состоится 29 июля рано утром по московскому времени, также составят двойки из Канады и Испании.
Напомним, XXXII летняя Олимпиада продлится до 8 августа. К выступлению на Играх готовятся еще три спортсмена, представляющие Тверскую область.
1 августа в борьбу за медали в женских прыжках в длину вступит Дарья Клишина. Если в квалификации все сложится удачно, Дарья будет прыгать в финале 3 августа.
6 августа на старт предварительных гонок в мужской байдарке-четверке на дистанции 500 метров выйдут Артем Кузахметов и Александр Сергеев. В случае выполнения отборочного норматива 7 августа их ждут полуфинальные и финальные гонки.
